Just got back from the Rio and.....

I spoke with about 8 different people and a few acted like they didn't want to tell me the big secret.....others told me many different things and here is a brief list:

1. He lives there now.
2. He will be there between 30 and 60 days, performing a few nights a week.
3. He not only rented out Club Rio but bought out a steak house there and is going to turn it into a "Prince" theme restaurant. Not sure if it will be just for him though.
4. The guy that was re-painting the front entrance to the club said he was working odd hours because Prince was going to be there this Friday. My guess is that he is just going to check it out, unload equipment, etc. Who knows?

That's all I got but when you are there be sure to check out the buffet. It was like a mile long and the best buffet I have ever been to literally. Also the Voodoo Lounge on the top of the Rio was the coolest little club I have ever seen with a dancefloor outside! 50 floors up, you can see practically all of Vegas from above. It was the best view ever. No joke.

Babynoz....see you soon!

It's good alright, but The Bellagio is better!

Everybody's so excited about stuff, that did get kind of lost in the mix. I think it's a terrific idea, I'll check it out for sure!

Pkidwell,

Thanks for doing some leg work!

All the info you got may, or may not be true but I'm getting the oil changed in my car and putting the grandparents on alert to be ready to watch the kiddies just in case....

And WHEN it does happen Pkidwell, I'd be happy to buy you a drink to say thanks for going out and asking around!
I'm firmly planted in denial

The best buffet line at a casino ANYWHERE happens to be at the IP, Imperial Palace, in Bolixi, Mississippi. Not a mile long, but tres very good, imho.

Thanks for the info. Guess I have to check on my savings account. Too bad Allegiant Air halted its $69 one way shuttle from Toledo to Vegas earlier this year.

If the restaurant is vegetarian, it better be "bring your own meat", or I'm not eating there. I suppose I could just drink my dinner. razz
