With everyone using the word BOXSET i wanna know exactly how many CD's the friggin' boxset is???

E-mail them again & ask why members who paid $100 for "advance word, Prince news & first listen to all this music" still found out about it first from a music news site that has nothing to do with Prince?

I don't know. So far we have had the "Dig if u will the picture..." news item which hypothetically suggested a 7 CD set. Then the launch article which said a 3 disc set and has since been explained by NPGMC as a misinterpretation of the first news item. We also know that we are due 3 more "member CDs". Personally I think these could be double/triple/boxset CDs or single CDs, either way they only count as one "member CD" regardless of how many CDs are in them. So that means errr...

I don't like all this guessing too much, but anyway...
my guess (if it's a 3 CD set) would be that it's one complete ONA show (from just one concert or cut together from various) and some aftershow songs. That would make 3 CDs and would be freaking great!

...I remember that I wrote them an e-mail maybe three months ago asking if the photos taken from photographers at some ONA shows would be posted online and they said that they are planning something else for them.
Maybe this is it?

From the number of song titles on the site it looks like it may be more than three cds, but I guess we just have to wait and see. The original post about seven cds is the most confusing thing of it all.

My guess is that a "box set" will be more than 3 discs. Emancipation was 3 cd's all by itself, and that's not a "box set" is it?

in looking at the new ad on the npgmc site and reading the emails, my take on the situaion:
while at the celebration in studio b, during the listening sessions, they played a complilation of ona shows and the nyc aftershow. i believe that the "one nite alone live" thing that the new ad promotes will be that complilation. i say complilation because during certain songs, you could hear prince mention washington d.c., and during others he mentioned oakland. i'm not sure how many cities were used to put it together.
i think that the xenophobia 7/3 box is a completely separate matter.

4 Cd's at 15 dollars a piece. thats 60 dollars... (the 4 we've known about)

Then the other 40 dollars for this ONA Box set.. Maybe they were keeping a secret..

Thats a tally of 100 bux for everything..

If thats true, thats 11 cd's for the year, eye would say we will get our moneys worth, if thats a fact..

well they said check your doorstep soon.. and eye havent paid extra for any box set.. so eye'm assuming its part of the deal.. eye hope it is at least.

I think we're all getting too worked up about how many CD's the members will be getting, how many will be up for sale on retail, etc etc.

It seemed the npgmc attempted to clarify the situation when they basically said Launch.com jumped the gun and, for now--ONLY the members will getting the new album--likely 3 CD's because they recently added '1+1+1=3' on their site.

Now, does that mean it will be on sale in stores at a later date...?? Maybe--likely not, but does it really matter?
I would like to think -like TRC- non-members have access to his music, too.
I would rather be one of 1,000,000 people who get to hear his fantastic music than one of only 10,000--not becuz of sales, but becuz the music is so good it deserves to be heard and appreciated by so many. Just my opinion.

...now let's wait and see, shall we?
