I think the BET performance was one of his best especially 3121!

I gotta place on the table the performance of the Most Beautiful Girl In the World performed with Mayte in 1994. He's doing voice overs. It was almost too painful to watch. I think my vote wins hands down.

Bad performances I'd say are probably between 97-02 specially Rave era, very flat and unergetic performances indeed (and that goes for ther live DVD too - total crap!) another candidate maybe the 1980 midnight special performance of I wanna be your lover/Why do you wanna treat me so bad only because it's somewhat camp (a bit like american bandstand already mentioned) and lip synched!

I've never seen a performance that I didn't love!

3121 was powerfully good. PArtyUp was amazing.

"Gett Off" on the '92 MTV awards was underwhelming. I had been expecting something wild, and it was so sedate and boring depsite the shock of buttless pants.

The entire arsenio '93 performances of symbol album stuff was BORING.

The lipsynch performance of "The Most Beautiful Girl in the World" on the World Music Awards was horribly boring, and the outfit and look was BAD!

This will not be a popular choice, but I'm going to say the Gett Off at the VMAs in '91 (the yellow ass-out pants episode).

That number was a blatant rip-off of the awesome "Take Off With Us" from the movie "All That Jazz." He gets a zero for originality -- the ass display notwithstanding.

wat about when he sang Baby Im A Star at the Grammys 1985, and dropped the MIC at the start, lol.

The GMA Per4mance kinda sucked. Only bcuz he performed "Get on the Boat"

maybe the more recent ones where just less exciting as i have seen him so many times. both on TV and in person...so it is hard to judge.

The Emancipation special on VH1 wasn't awful but it wasn't exciting either. It was very disappointing.

It's got to be bad when "One of Us" is the most exciting thing he does.

The worst one I ever saw had to be the Bandstand performance. But you know what? A few years ago I had a chance to see alot of those old AB performances by artists I grew up listening to. And most of them were just as bad or worse then what Prince did!
