News / rumours (?): Prince is in the studio with Michael B., Sonny T. and Maceo Copy and paste from housequake.com
http://www.housequake.com...adid=75365 I hope this is true and the material will be released of course. Hoping myselve for some raw power-rock in the vein of 'the sacrifice of victor' and 'Chaos disorder', but with better compositions. Like Cream / the Jimi Hendrix Experience / King's X with some Otis Redding thrown into the mix.

Personally speaking, Love King's X. Went to a Metropol small venue concert and enjoyed it completely. The syncopated rhythm and vocals were Rock Solid gorgeous.
RE: Mr. Prince Rogers Nelson...Whatever he does will be new and exciting. Glad the man suprises still... take care... hera LIVE IN THE NOW FOR AN ETERNITY TO COME...HAVE FUN!

Being happy doesn't mean that everything is perfect, it means you've decided to look beyond the imperfections... unknown

Personally i think its time for Prince to sing and play his (rocking) heart out.
I mean, he has shown with musicology and 3121 he can still make focussed, entertaining, 'pop'-records. And despite all the critism expressed by long time fams in here: those records 1) werent commercial disasters, each sold at least 1 million worldwide 2) a good step back from the obscurity and sillieness showed by releases as 'the rainbow children' and 'News'. Now its time for him to show a bit more soulfellness and passion in the material he releases, Michael B. and Sonny T. might just be helpfull for him with that. I dont yet expect another explosion of musical creativity from him like in the period 1981 - 1988, but i hope his gives me 'gut feeling' and 'soul' again with his music, instead of 'detached dogmatic nonsense'(the rainbow children) or 'music that sounds like more fun to play, then to listen to' (News).

As I said on that thread, I don't see the point in getting excited. If I remember correctly, there were 2 sessions with Michael B and Sonny T a year apart before 3121 came out, and yet only one track features their presence despite god knows how many other jams they did those days. You might as well wish the work from those sessions got released as this new one. Prince records all the time but so much never sees the light of day, it's not worth getting worked up about.

come on metalorange you've got to be happy about making some good funky music with some proven musicians, it's nice to here he's also back in the studio. It's better than posturing at different events, let's get back to the music

If a tree falls in the woods and no one hears it, does it really make any sound? If Prince records some good funky music and it never gets released, does it really exist?!

Still it's good to know that Paisley Park is back in use assuming this is true. As far as Heart Song it concerned I know what your saying but when I think of Michael B. and Sonny T I think of where the party be. I think of some fat drums, phat bass and some HORZ on the one. But dont worry metal orange I still like your posts but I think this is a good sign.
