I read in this very out of print biography about Prince called Prince:His story in words and pictures by Mark Rowland and Margy Rochlin about that very sexy barn sceane in Purple Rain. Laura Schinder a Minnesota model who was Apollonia's stand in said "Prince was really working up to that love sceane. Apollonia told me that before that sceane he wouldn't even her kiss him. She had tried a couple of times. He would take her out at night dancing and stuff. But he thought it was very important that they not kiss before that sceane."

Well I guess it worked because that part in the movie was hot! LOL. I just thought some of you girls would find that interesting and just wanted to share.

Me too! Hell what girl wouldn't! The stand in said the set up was really cool too. I guess it was a pretty elaborate set with actual Purple rain coming down. She said she was like nervous because Apollonia and her were the only girls in the room and there were like, fifteen guys around but Apollonia was very calm throughout it. But she said it took three days to film.

Someone along time ago posted a rumor on here along time ago that the reason most of that scene got scrapped was because they actually ended up having sex and it was way too pornographic. But I think that is bullshit. I can't imagine they could allow themselves to be filmed expecially for a movie and with fifteen crew memebers standing around! LOL!! Prince is way too professional for that.

Yeah, Apollonia was asked about whether or not she and Prince had an affair during the production of that movie. She denied it, naturally. And she said that the first time she and Prince ever kissed was during the filming of the "first kiss" scene in the movie when they're in The Kid's parent's basement.

Now I'll say this, I think it is not at all possible for a woman who looked like Apollonia did in 1984 to spend more than oh, 9 minutes in the company of a 25 year old Prince and not only kiss him but make, uh, a pretty mess.

I have always admired Prince for being so particular about little things and being such a perfectionist.
Wow.....I guess that made that kiss even more worthwhile and special for both of them.....
and I ain't believin anyone who says that nothin was goin on between them 2, at least during the filming of Purple Rain.

I just found out something eles, via Housequake about this scene...I guess the song playing in the background to this part in the movie was suppose to be..."Electric Intercourse"!
