I like the batman album also I have the rainbow children too and I like that song she loves me for me...a nice song...it may have been about manuela...but its sad state of affairs. I just hope his focus is just on music for now...pity if he can't see beyond a fake smile(regarding fame grabbing and money grabbing females. She Loves Me 4 Me indeed was written about Mani, but let's try not to go off the deep end with the presumptuous comments about why they broke up, hmm?
I'd go with Purple Rain. It's the most stunning album he ever made. It might as well be his Greatest Hits album. The world is a comedy for those who think and a tragedy for those who feel.

There's some close contenders, and Parade is NOT my favourite album, but it's sure the one I'd want if I couldn't have any other. A lifetime without hearing that 'jubilicious' opening of Christopher Tracy's Parade turn gradually into New Position, into I Wonder U, into the movie title track?..... No thanks, I'd rather be dead. Tough choice, I'd be happy with any, and get sick of any.
I've probably listened to Purple Rain more than any other. Lovesexy, , 1999, Parade, and now TRC received heavy rotation. Now Sign is getting heavy rotation again.
If I'm being honest & boring, probably Purple Rain. An absolute masterpiece, but could I have the original double album version, please? [Edited 10/23/06 13:52pm] My Legacy
