I am afraid ....

that we are witnessing Prince in retirement.I say this becasue after reading about that LasVegas deal, why would you continue to globetrott well into your fifties on a bad hip? I welcome slowing down, but I'd hate to see him set up shop in Vegas and get cornered into doing the clasics cause that ain't him. (like wI know him personally...) I'd love to see and hear Prince go back to the basics and make good RAW music again,but...Vegas...lights...tourists....hookers.....waaaaait maybe this is the start of something new and RAW again.....

Don't be silly.

He could stand still and entertain, or sit his ass down on a stool or behind a piano. Prince hasn't been full on dancing in probably a decade. And it's not needed.

Plenty of life in the old dog yet.

Grown up, Prince is never going backwards and if he is in retirement there's nothing you can do about it anyway.

I don't Prince will ever retire. He's got so much to say. And besides, unless he develops Arthritis and can't make his guitar sing, then he can hang up the heels and quit. And if Michael Jackson can perform in a wheelchair--which he did in 1992 when he sprained his ankle--Prince can hang on a walker and do the Horny Pony!
I love a Man who:
Wears More Make Up Than Me.
Wears Four Inch Stilleto Boots.
Changes His Name To An Unpronouncable Symbol.
Who Changes His Name Back From An Unpronouncable Symbol.
Oh And Most Importantly, Who Is Sexy Little Drop Of Butterscotch

Just because Prince might play Vegas for a while doesn' mean that's where he is going to be forever. Give the guy a break, maybe he doesn't want to tour all over the place right now.If he performs anywhere, the fans should be happy.Would you rather him never perform live again or perform in Vegas?

I think it might just be cool for him to perform there for awhile. When have the fans ever been able to say on a whim "I think I'll go see Prince tonight?

It's never been proved that Prince has a bad hip. That was an unsubtantiated rumour from a single source. However of course getting older effects you and Prince will have to alter the way he works accordingly.

As for Vegas, why not post on this thread about that topic:

I am starting to make peace with the idea that he might retire or he might stay in Las Vegas or some other Princely choice. Whatever he chooses to do God bless him. He rescued me from bitterness and in many other ways.
