Purple Confessions Are you overly obsessive in all things P? DId you hawk something of value to purchase that Princely trinket? Did you blow off your friends birthday to attend a concert on the sly? Do you not know the names of all of Prince's girlfriends, yet still call yourself a fan? Do you NOT own a certain album and feel shameful? Do you actually favor MJ over P somewhat? Have you not bought a P album since Diamonds and Pearls and need to get it off of your chest?

Okay, I'll bite. In 1984, Prince became my favourite musician - hell, my favourite anything. Then in 1985, I discovered A-ha (particularly The Sun Always Shines on T.V.), and they became my favourite musical group. Then Prince released Parade, and I said, "F that! Prince rules!". Then A-ha released Scoundrel Days, and I said, "Aw lawd, they're my favourite again!". Then Prince released Sign o' the Times followed by Lovesexy, and the rest is history...  |
