Do you think Prince stole ideas from bandmembers It seems like former bandmembers are saying a lot of Prince's songs were successful because of their input, but they never got credit for it, most notably, Wendy and Lisa said they contributed quite a bit, David Z, Andre C., and supposedly, Morris Day wrote Partyup. His father even said that he was the one who wrote Purple Rain.
Do you think a lot of Prince's music was made better by others major contribution to the songs, but they didn't get credit?

Well after the revolution and Dr fink left, his music started to stink pretty bad, so the answer is yes.

On a few occasions ;YES but he made them into his own songs.
It's well known and confirmed by engineers though most of the time Prince wrote and worked in the studio on his own; sometimes not sleeping or eating for 2-3 days. morris day came up with a groove on the drums; prince took that and wrote and created a song. W & l created the basis for mountains and SISIA as well as power fantastic and christopher tracys parade. They also claim to have helped with the intro on PR. Lisa also wrote a song for The time(uncredited). Andre cymone created the basis for the bass lines on i'm yours, do me baby(from eddie hazel), uptown and feel for you and he played on a track on the prince album. bobby z was NOWHERE NEAR as good as any other prince drummer and he at the most played over a prince created linn drum beat on a couple of songs. Fink said himself he wished he's co-wrote alot more beacause he didn't do much; what he did do was almost all credited for individual tracks. brown mark played bass on a couple of tracks; the original tapes credited him but the cd version(PR) did not.
