oh take it easy! why would it even be considered selling out? Like I said, for the most part is actual bands playing instruments so it's really not such a terrible thing....I'd much perfer it over him giving up the instruments for equipment.

Okay, I gave in and did an (admittedly crappy) image of Prince as a country artist.

It's a possibility. Country music sells shitloads today on the US.

Can you imagine Prince doing an ode to Dolly Parton's boobs or dueting with Shania Twain? lol
I was going to say NO WAY. But then I thought of something. If he came out with something like that song "Honky Tonk Ba-Donka-Donk" It just might work. lol lol lol lol Yeah Right!

Nooooo, please God, don´t let this ever happen. I hate country..... Let him continue doing those nasty funky songs.....

Two words: Latoya Jackson. She did a country album in 1994 and the family "officially" fired her from the family. And I actually liked her one and only hit before she lost her damn mind!

If P went Country he'd take out the O and make it sexy.

I heard a remix today by Justin with Aretha singing the hook.

It's called HeftyBack.

I actually like Keith Anderson. I don't think he is straight country. But, Prince would do a kick ass job if he did do it. He learns very quickly. Country is very easy to do. I would do it! Well...

Not a fan of the current stuff, but I could easily listen to

Patsy Cline
Loretta Lynn
Johnny Cash
Hank Williams

and a handful of some others I can't think of. Country pre 80's was great.

nod I recall hearing a lot of it around my house! wink But by the early 80's I was much more intersted in the local college radio station, KROQ (L.A.), local AOR stations (anyone remember that), and some top 40 thrown in to boot! wink

As for Prince going country... eek I can't see that! Though Mike's suggested ode to Dolly's boobs sounds like like something he could have fun with! biggrin lol
