Silly question but I always wonder this Do you think there will be music in heaven to soothe us the way the music has here, such as Prince's?
God knows how much we love music, I'm sure he has to include that for us in the afterlife.

Well, of course, because you've been to the afterlife and you know all about it, don't you? You can say without any hesitation that Prince music will be played in the afterlife. Fool. Wishful thinker, methinks. Sorry.

Is that a pick of Jack Nickelson? If so, I just finished watching him in a movie "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" ... Quite funny! Not that this has anything to do with Prince or Heaven.

I think if God is great enough to create us in this life, space and time, he can do it in another as well. With music, or maybe something even greater.

If U are not in listening distance to his music... can U not STILL recreate it in your mind's ear?

Oh yes Sharonbell...no doubt about it! Music is obviously very important to us all...I'm sure it will be even more intense, satisfing, uplifting in the afterlife than here now to us. I always used to ask myself...if I had to be blind or deaf which one would I choose...I think I would rather be blind....I don't think I could survive without hearing music.
I remember reading this story about a deaf boy who loved music...he went deaf but never lost his love for music. Music to him was exciting and made him feel alive...so he could feel the vibrations when he cranked up the stereo and imagine listening to the music he once loved...he really liked Motley Crue and when he blasted the music the choros and drums and vocals would come back to him and he would feel happy once again. This was a true story and I read it so long ago...I always thought not being able to hear music would be like, a private hell to me...music just enables me to think, fantasize, and relax...I don't think I could imagine life without music let alone the after life....I hope when I die music will be abundent wherever I am....

when prince and all of us die... there will still be new prince music on this planet for atleast another 200 years after we all die.
think about it, all the unreleased songs. He has about 2000 songs. Thats 10 songs per album, per year.

God knows how much we love music, I'm sure he has to include that for us in the afterlife. The Music in heaven makes Prince's Music exactly out to be what it is. Failure popular cult clueless mad man made music revolving around his own egotistical nature. News: Prince pulls his head out his ass in the last moment.
Bad News: Prince wasted too much quality time doing so. You have those internalized issues because you want to, you like to, stop.

i do believe in heaven, and i believe that those good enough to go to heaven can still enjoy what they did on earth- especially music. which is why i have to say that of course prince will be played in heaven- there'll prolly be like a club with 24/7 prince. hahaa- or not. It would take more faith to believe that everything was just one big accident and life has no purpose. You're a Prince fan so you couldn't be that dumb. The only difference between his thoughts and your own is that he actually wrote his down and set them to music. Oh...and he makes a lot of money doing it. Don't judge lest you be judged. I don't want to judge anyone's beliefs, despite the fact that religion plays absolutely no part in my life.
I'm studying a couple of philosophy modules at College and would like to ask the posters, who are willing to share, the logic behind their decision to believe in God/an afterlife/Heaven or whatever definition you give. Philosophy is largely about logic, and finding fallacies in arguments to help justify your own beliefs or even begin to question them. Anyone feel 100% logically justified in their decision to believe in God? Or is it all about faith? As I say, I have no religious leanings and find it difficult to understand, if truth be told. I respect the rights of all to live their lives as they see fit, and have huge respect for those who live by religious morales and values, but I would like to see how many were told to believe, and how many chose to believe. Just looking to get a broad range of people to help me understand some of the reasoning behing belief, if anyone is willing to help. So look into the mirror, do u recognise some1? Is it who u always hoped u would become, when u were young?

i perceive prince to be a man of the world, of the earth, with a heavenly heart. some of his music and lyrics reflect that heavenly space within him, some of it doesn't.
i believe the music in heaven comes from a heavenly heart and an egoless mind. maybe we have to be humble to hear it, and free of the illusions of iconism to see it. i also believe we don't have to die to get to heaven. judge not lest ye be judged
