Song of the day..."5 Women"

Hey Guys!!

I have been listening to this song a lot lately. Both the Prince and Joe Cocker, versions. I love the way the story goes and how Prince interprets it. I wonder why it was not included on any "real Album" and only on "Old Friends Sale"

Thoughts?

I absolutely love this song; the vocal, the guitar, the production, the lyric. I actually enjoy the 'middle' of that CD more than anything else released in the 90s.

great song.
I put The Vault on for the first time in about 3 years the other day there.
I think there are some great tunes on it.
Fuck the funk - it's time to ditch the worn-out Vegas horns fills, pick up the geee-tar and finally ROCK THE MUTHA-FUCKER!! He hinted at this on Chaos, now it's time to step up and fully DELIVER!!
woot!

His best song. One of themost beautiful ever,

It's a great song, but I don't think it's his. Someone who knows better, please chime in. Is it a B.B. King jam?

It's his. Like I said before, he had written it for Joe Cocker, but then took it himself. Joe's version is pretty cool too.

I love this song, especially when I heard P's version. I could really relate to the song. I went through a period in my life when I had similar situations to the lyrics in the song. Glad I'm married now and don't have to deal with those types of women anymore smile !

Brilliant song. One of my favourites.

Bit concerned about the fact he forgets May's name so quickly smile

Oh cool! That's what I love about the org. I've been following P for the past 22 years, and people still can show me something new smile

The song is definitely a great tune.

About the only redeeming track on the album.

When The Lights Go Down is cool, too.
