Dream Factory Tracklist

(Sorry to start a new topic, but i've never been able to do a proper search for some reason. Keeps saying "area closed")

Anyway, I'm new here - hi. I became very interested lately in the Dream Factory album, and came across a tracklisting on wikipedia which differs from what is on the FAQ on this site. I have most of the tracks and I'd like to put them together in the proper order. Is there a definitive tracklist? It's already gonna come out weird because of differing audio quality on tracks, so I'd like to get as close to the right order as possible.

Thanks!

To answer your question better; the album went through some changes along the way. If I am not mistaken the album was tracked three times, all with different songs and song orders.

This was the last one before it finally got pulled and Prince moved on to a Revolution-less era.

Thanks for that ... The thing that got me interested was an article in some UK magazine, an appreciation of Prince essay. It actually sounds as if maybe the writer was referring to a different version.

I assume BTW that the tracks that ended up with Camille vocals did NOT have said vocals on the Dream Factory.

Actually, they did. There are a few versions of Strange Relationship, but all the other released Camille songs did not vary from the Dream Factory versions.
