Not a thing as far as advice. He wouldn't be the person he is now without making both mistakes and good decisions. Personal, professional, spiritual experiences....you age...you change... you grow with.
Even his marriages, he gained something.

On the other hand, when he was 20, I'd tell him: There's going to be web sites dedicated to talking about you day in and day out. Fans will record your concerts on their cell phones and post it on youtube. The future is unbelievable.

Really I wouldn't want to change too much, because like xplnyrslf said, we are who we are as the result of our choices, good and bad. Who knows what going back and even suggesting a little behaviour adjustment might do? Tampering with the timeline and all....

I've thought about this several times. Out of all the things I would tell him would be to ignore the strange symbol that keeps popping into his head, and just put it discreetly in his album artwork or on his clothes. But never, and I repeat NEVER use it as a name!!! It just doesn't work, and people will taunt you!

I would like to ask him why he still feels the need to be popular? Sure, it's nice to be on top and selling millions of records, but why should he care at this point? I'm sure this is a major concern for him seeing as he's gone out of his way to be more popular the past few years and the idea of doing a Vegas act only proves this to me even more. I don't particularly like the idea.

I would much prefer Prince to do his own thing and not concern himself with popularity and selling records. I think we would get much better work out of him if he was more concerned with just recording and releasing to his real fans instead of satisfying the masses.

Just my 2 cents.
