"Return Of The Bump Squad" was the best song on the album. "Cherry Cherry" and "Count The Days" were pretty good too. However, those damn seques were fucking rediculous and should have been left out altogether. They were stupid and corny as hell.

So I just got back 2 NY from AES 2006 in San Fran, & I went 2 Amoeba Records... How I never had 'Exodus' is beyond my conception... I somehow never heard it.

Anyways, among several other records, I got 'Exodus' on CD... Oh my... Forget about why, or how, I never got this, in a vein and in a time, when I really shoulda.... This is every bit as deep as any level of Funk as any era, within, and including The Time, or as any other production... and I'm from the Old School. In short... This shit is as real as anything.

Peace.

U know it doesnt matter when you heard it . . it is funk and i want to hear his more funkier side too. . we have gotten allot of rock out him but where is the funk. . i agree, . maybe his next project will be more of a FUNK sound. . BUT ONLY GRAYCAP CAN TELL US FOR - lol. . I think it should be funkier. . and i think it will have more spiritual overtones

Now, now, Mistress... The Funk is always there 4 U. Now that you've confessed, U must pay your penance.

Now I must confess... I was a bit over excited when I heard this, as it was the 1st time, and was something I somehow didn't have. I am NOT retracting my praise 4 this project, but I must retract this: "This is every bit as deep as any level of Funk as any era, within, and including The Time, or as any other production". 'Exodus' is funky, but I really don't want 2 compare it 2 what came before. It's just not fair...

Is it a cover or a remix? I know that a Good Life remix briefly made a foray into the Uk charts back a year or so after the album was released.

I love some of the skits! Especially Prince as frustrated eater/restaurant owner, superb.

hard to tell if its an outright cover, but Im pretty sure its not the NPG remix, its pretty uptempo dance.

The Good Life Maxi Single has the following tracks!

1. Platinum People Edit 4:12
2. Platinum People Mix 6:40
3. Dancing Divaz Mix 6:40
4. Bullets Go Bang Remix 5:14
5. Big City Remix 5:05
6. Album Version 5:48

The Dancing Divaz Mix is hyper and is worth the entrance fee alone, if only prince would allow more of his tracks to be mixed one of his best Maxi single's yet!
