Prince should work with the Scissor Sisters!, he and Ana could be a great double act!.

The Scissors represent all that is good in Pop music today i.e. write their own songs, play their instruments very well [especially the guitarist], great entertainers, damn fine singers and have a P like understanding of Groove!. Maybe they are too Gay and white for him but you never know[lol!]. As for those dumbass U.S. radio programmers not giving them any air time that is simply beyond belief. Anyone agree, obviously those in the US won't know who they are!.

au contraire. damn near every GLBT-friendly magazine over here has:

1) had a cover story done on 'em.
2) mentioned about 'em in their music section.
3) name-dropped 'em.
4) all of the above and then some.

not to mention they performed on snl a while back. don't worry, we're fully aware of who the scissor sisters are. now if you'll excuse me, i'ma hop on the couch with nouveau and laugh along with 'im.

lol

God, I hate the Scissor Sisters. Okay, they can play live, kudos, but I can't stand that inanely grinning frontman, there's that overdressed/under-used woman, and then the other band-mates look so uncomfortable in the bizarre garb like they have been forced into it. This recent album they were absolutely everywhere promoting it, I couldn't turn on the radio or tv without them doing some interview or show, talk about over-exposure. To me they just come across as a band that desperately wants to be huge and will do anything no matter how crass to achieve it.

that song sounds a lot like a poorly executed revamp of elton john & neil sedaka's "bad blood".

Lord forgive them all
for they know not what they say!!!.[lol].

Come on you lot , they do remind me of the 1999/ Purple rain era P and the Revolution, wear their influences on their sleeve and really are great. Maybe it's a Euro thing!. The lead singer has got a dman fine voice though.

I just saw them perform on Conan O brian, and they sounded awful! I was expecting something good. It sounded like a talent show band trying to do disco. Was this a fluke performance?

Well, personally I'm glad the U.S. hasn't taken to them big time. Means they'll have more of an allegiance to the U.K. so we'll get more gigs, etc.

Although, there really is a strong Prince influence in a lot of their work. Check out the song 'Ooh' from their new CD if you can. Very 'Controversy' like.

Wats with all of u guys? These guys know where its at!
I agree with Funenstein they arnt funk, but they try 2 emulate it a litte...they are more disco then funk!
It would be interesting to see Jake (the frontman) do something with P at least. i doubt it will happen tho.
Also y are they hardly know or why do u make them out as hardly known in the US, i know they r big in the UK but they r a US band, i find it strange when bands go big in countries they rnt from and in their home country they r hardly known...its strange!

O.K. clearly the P.Rain era doesn't compare musically BUT it's more the feel of here's a hard working band, with talent that look different, have bags of energy that have captured the moment, in Europe at least. Honestly have to sya that I am disappointed if their US TV appearances haven't been too hot, seems that everytime i see them live here they just kill it.
oh and what's the betting that they end up doing Vegas as well! [P what's all THAT about!]
