Prince's musical output 1982-1985 Driving around tonight listening to back to the 80's on the radio and I hear "Glamorous Life" and "Manic Monday". The man had more music than he knew what to do with back then. He was giving number one singles away.
He was sort of like the Neptunes are now. So much stuff that they put it all out, but they too will probably slow down the hits eventually. For how busy he was back then with movies, tours and videos he still found time to produce his own records and others as well. Now he's got more free time but we hardly get any music released. Ironic?? ______________________________________________

How are we hardly getting any music released? Prince still averages at least 1 album per year , and thats not counting the NPGMC music.Last year we got at least 50 tracks ,almost all of which were previously unreleased .By the end of year 2,we should have at least 4 new CDs.As far as songs with others, he had recent tracks with No Doubt, George Clinton, Maceo Parker and Ani DiFranco (no hit singles tho). I goota agree! I'm amazed at the amount of output he did during this time of his life. It seems that this period is the only time he hasn't got a side group to produce for. Which is a shame as it would be a outlet for some songs that he doesn't feel would suit him at the moment.

Stevie Nicks "Stand Back"... he did that too.. the whole keyboard arranging..
she says that she wanted to make a song like/about sorta little red corvette.. he found out and came over, didn't say much and just made the whole "hook".. then took off
