who could "save" a broke and/or forgotten Prince? i know he's financially solvent and still musically relevant, but suppose he went by the way of george clinton, mavis staples, maceo parker, larry graham (and to a certain extent, chaka khan)--great performers who were "forgotten" by the mainstream at one time or another and then had at least some of their popularity restored by working, touring or writing with Prince? is there anybody who could incorporate a "downtrodden and forgotten" Prince into their world?

Ain't no "Suppose" about it. That's the path he's on. Slow in going, but he's always been a little slow. News: Prince pulls his head out his ass in the last moment.
Bad News: Prince wasted too much quality time doing so. You have those internalized issues because you want to, you like to, stop.

this is not a "slam" thread, or anything about his Vegas gigs. i'm just asking, Prince has reached back and helped many legendary artists at least become financially/musically viable again. i'm just merely asking if there is anyone on the scene today that would be able to return the favor to him, IF need be--10, 15 years from now, not next week or next year. sheesh.

I think Bono and U2 are a great band. Bono is very open minded and is into many different types of music. Like them or not U2 has stood the test of time. They have been around for such a long time. I think they are one of the greatest rock bands of all time.

there was a time in the 90's, if i recall, small theater gigs that didn't always sell out, albums that didn't sell too well, and sparsely attended impromptu gigs at PP. fortunately, the grammys, rrhof induction and the musicology tour/album helped make him an "A" lister again. there are quite a few great artists who will probably never enjoy a resurgence in popularity like his. i'm just asking, WHO could authentically extend an invitation to Prince IF he were to be less fortunate than he is now.

Prince already made his stitch in history, He knows better than to contend with himself. He's not Michael Jackson, who's still trying to recreate another thriller. Aging artist have to deal with one things their egos, and we all know P has a mighty big one. But i digress, Prince has nothing more to but to make good music HOW HE ENVISIONS IT. It doesn't matter what we think in the long run, he's finacially secure...
Its just up to him... its not about reviving a career... its about making music I wish some fans would remember that and stop whinning about why prince isnt as popular as he was... no offense... I am a Rail Road, Track Abandoned

i think it would have to be a female because prince would rather lose his weave than swallow his pride.

i watched a movie last night called The Legend of Bagger Vance about a golf caddy who revives a young golfers career after a 12 year bout of depression and alcoholism due to the horrors he experienced in the war.
all he had to do was get his swing back. Bagger Vance reminded him its not a game you win its a game you play. all you have to do is get out of the way and let the swing find you. his other handy tip, was to become one with the field, and it aint in front of you, it aint what you see, its what you feel inside when all is still. "chill". only then can your authentic shot be played. " the embassy shut to keep the fools out " - as above, so below.
