Do not Interrupt... I'm in my office listening 2 the 88' aftershow version of "Just My Imagination". The guitar solo begins, the gates of heaven open up and my soul is engulfed in the gushing flood of beauty errupting from my speakers. I am completely consumed in the overwhelming, soaring crescendos and suddenly...
My phone rings. what. the. ? I pick up the phone and quickly hang it up again and return my attention 2 Prince, where it rightfully belongs at this moment. Now, if I did this everytime a Prince song came on, I'd surely b unemployed, but nothing and I mean NOTHING interrupts that guitar solo. U have a similiar xperience with a particular Prince song or moment? Listen to me on The House of Pop Culture podcast on itunes http://itunes.apple.com/u...d438631917

OMG! I got the "Ultimate" the other day and just as I am getting into "She Always In My Hair" The 12in, FINALLY!! I hear the doorbell and don't move. Next I hear my husband calling my name and I am soooo not wanting to be bothered so I just turn up the volume. I'm in mid jam when my neighbor walks in my office and tells me her "water just broke" and she was home alone. For one brief moment and I swear it was just one brief moment, I wanted to say, "So! Can't you see I'm having a moment over here?" We took her to the hospital, she and her husband have a beautiful baby boy. When I got home though, and resumed my listening pleasure. I couldn't help but laugh at the irony of what happened because my neighbor is always in my damn hair.
