Ok so we've heard a lot of views from Princes idea 4 the 7 cd set. Now here's my question. If Prince decided 2 release VAULT music, would u still buy bootleggs?? And what I mean by VAULT music is everything. (Of course the is a dream).

Why on earth continue to buy bootlegs if the vaults were to be opened??? We can dream I suppose

I've never bought a Prince bootleg in my life... tho I've done a bit of trading... a tape copy of 12 inch versions for a tape copy of The Black Album way back when.

Thank goodness for P2P mp3 networking... I don't have to wait until he dies (if he dies b4 me) to hear many of Prince's unreleased masterpieces.

Prince will not release the vault material because he is far too inept...

Of course nobody would buy bootlegs if Prince would release the stuff... but Prince doesn't want the cash, he likes to bitch about other people getting the money.

I agree with icenine,Prince doesn't seem to want YOU to have those songs.I have most of his boots in excellent quality anyway.but even then there would be a FEW i would buy."The Second Coming" is definately one of them.

Prince seems to me to be at odds with himself. With his fanbase shrinking, and the NPGMC not as successful as he would have wished, what does he do? There is obviously material in his vault that is in conflict with his JW beliefs. If he did release material to detract from the bootlegs would he satisfy consumer wants or just go with what agrees with JW philosophy?

A long time ago, I didn't really agree with buying Prince bootleggs.

But, now with Prince's current attitude towards the fans, I have no problem with it.

I think he doesn't want to release what's in the Vault.

The C, icenine, classic77, and live4lovesexy I agree 100%. Sometimes I even doubt if there are as many boots as he says in the vault. What will happen to them when Prince dies? Knowing him he will probably have them destroyed prior to his death so that the evil record companies cant get their hands on them. Besides I will keep buying boots just out of spite. I feel that Prince`s attitude towards his fans demands me purchasing boots!!!
