Reception to Madhouse

Just curious, what did the jazz world or jazz critic make of the Madhouse records. Do we have any links to any reviews at all. Just checking out the new RS album guide, one star for Rainbow Children, yikees

I think it went pretty much under the radar I don't remember reading any reviews at the time.

I have read some reviews from madhouse albums in music magazines covering both pop, jazz and classical music. The main reception seemed to be, this is sounding like Prince music, but suffering from lacking those vocals. Cocktail jazz was a word that was also used, which i disagree with. Me personally has always seen those records like funk with jazz influences, instead of funky jazz... if you know what i mean.. lol
