I think some of the segues between songs are rather unfortunate, but the sogns themselves are hot! That's what Black Sweat could have been from the beginning, IMO.

Me too. I don't understand why he holds out on his fans, but gives it away to commerce again. Is he SO strapped for attention? Jeez.

That was cool. Versace Experience 2006.
Black Sweat sounds better, but that song still doesn't do it for me.

The ATWIAD intro was surprising and interesting. Just too short.

Shhh is just a good song, period. The little taste of new lyrics actually worked. I could hear more of that.

Oh my.

The intro is SLAMMIN'. I want that on a record. That's the Minneapolis Funk I dig.

The version of Black Sweat is unbelievably FUNKY. There's even a synth clav sound in there that he used back in '78. I want that.

...just my cents...

Peace.

I would kill for an extended version of "Around the World in a Day" with something like that added on.

This album was just begging for some remixes. Black Sweat, Lolita and Love would've been perfect.

True. But the whole project feels a bit truncated. I miss CD singles from the guy.

Maybe in terms of a little effort I guess.

He used to have so many fabulous remixes though. Even stuff as late as the "Come" singles were blowing my mind.

'something like that' was heavily jammed on by The Revolution in rehearsels and they played this portion live too, so explore the vault that IS...

that version of black sweat just sounds like a studio version of the live version he's been performing as of late.

Well that Shhh was very hot. I wished it was longer. I would looooove to add it to a new Prince ballads compilation. Can never have too many of those. wink

He replaced Sex in the City with Desperate Housewives.

About the show: I didn't see anything particularly stunning. A few of the early dresses were nice with the retro patterns, but nothing spectacular. Also, the models were kind of blah. Finally, could they have found at least one black model for the show? Goodness.
