What is the Stupidest Prince Album Cover ART

What album even tho U might love it .... U Just cant Look
at the Cover Picture or Artwork ????

Lovesexy makes me cringe and im not 2 fond of Graffiti Bridge
its like some was trying 2 cut and paste for the 1st time ????

anyway just a thought .....lol

I had my girlfriend at the time purchase the Lovesexy CD, although I considered wedging it in between Metallica and Public Enemy and approaching the counter. I'm collecting vinyl to hang on the wall now and although the Lovesexy LP cover we have from back in the day is in better shape than some of the other LPs, I'm not hanging it up. I used to take enough hell from my friend for having the poster with all the phases on it that I think came out around the time the Hits 1,2,&3 was released.

PSYCHE!..... Really though The Vault, ONA, Rave (except for comedy value), Emancipation - they all stink

Most of the cover art of his NPG-era albums from 1996 through, let's say, 2000 is utterly messy. Mostly because it was all made from computer graphics.

Lovesexy is the best, take it back!

i think the musicology album cover is butt ugly and cheap looking as hell. even the title font of that album makes me angry.

also, i guess i'm in a minority here, but even though i think the painting that graces the cover of the rainbow children is a fine image, i think it looks cheesy as an album cover, and it's another album with annoying cheap-ass looking title fonts.

i think the covers of these two albums make the newpower soul album cover image look like a masterpiece by comparison.

I don't think any of them are stupid.

Nothing is stupid where Prince is concerned!

Rave - horrible type and cut out image of Prince. Really odd looking and not
very aesthetically pleasing.

Emancipation - looks really low resolution and blurry. Also looks kinda cheap.

Musicology - the image of Prince is OK, but the creeper covered wall backdrop
and typography just looks horrible. The artwork INSIDE the booklet looks ten
times better than the cover.

The Rainbow Children - the painting looks great, but the typography and the way
the border is uneven and at an angle just looks terrible. It would've looked so
much better with no border.

New Power Soul and The Vault are tied for absolute worst. But with the exception of The Rainbow Children and 3121, I don't think I've liked a Prince cover since Batman.

It's a shame, too, because up through Batman, Prince had some really memorable covers.

i guess some people are still uncomfortable about nudity. that, and they still really don't understand exactly why ol' boy posed nude for the cover. it wasn't for shock value or done on a whim, really. but yeah, i'm in the same boat as ya'll.

it looks as if it was slapped together in 10 minutes in photoshop.
