The embarassing thing is that when I was 13, I told people that he WAS my dad! I was adopted, so I never knew my real father, and my adoptive mother was single, so I grew up without a dad. I figured Prince had as much chance as anyone. I used to have dreams about watching movies with him while eating popcorn, and waving goodbye as he left for his afternoon jog (in shorts and sneakers no less!) People obviously thought I was nuts.

Then, I eventually grew out of that phase, and developed some more "adult" feelings for Prince. Sick, huh?

Feel neglected. Prince would never be around for a family. Touring, traveling, sleeping around with the "new stuff". I don't believe he'd spend the time necessary to nurture a child. Material wealth in these circumstances isn't an advantage.
Luckily enough, he's NOT my dad. My Dad worked in a factory, was home every evening and took us kids fishing every weekend.
