sad but true Sorry, but there's NOTHING sad about that! Prince's musical impact on this world WILL be felt for many generations to come and that's a good thing!!

I think more so than the actual music - Prince would want to be remembered as someone who made us change how we look at things. Whether it's sexuality, spirituality, or even business, he has sure given us alot of things to consider. ~When you understand why you dismiss all other gods, then you will understand why I dismiss yours~

His music I believe that he has said this himself a few times. But I know for sure he said it in the Oprah interview a few years back.(I just watched it a few days ago) DIRTYMIND

im with u on that one, i think he did alot of that through his music though, so for me its both... " musical provocation of independent thought " - or something. " the embassy shut to keep the fools out " - as above, so below.

I agree with you MuaPetahl, however when asked, Prince states that his legacy is his music, that is what he wants to be remembered for. However, if one listens closely to his music, they hear the things you mentioned, and hopefully it does give one pause to consider his words. But Prince has also said many times in regards to defining what his music means that he leaves it up to the individual and what the individual takes from it. So if someone were to hear a song and decide that it is sexually explicit and must be only about sex, then that is what someone will get from his words, but if someone hears it and decides he is singing about joining, union, oneness, then that is what that person will take from his music and remember him for. So I guess when Prince says what he wants to be remembered for is his music, in essence he is saying that what he wants to be remembered for is whatever we each individually take from his music and what he has been saying all these many years.
