OK, I received my copy a couple of days ago, and I haven't even listened to all of it yet, but I've got some complaints!! What's up with disc 2 of Vol. 1? They added Power Fantastic and Extraordinary from their (Premium) NY ONA shows and tried to pass them off as what was performed on the second night of the Celebration??? I know we were forced out of Paisley due to the heat and most came in on the second or third song, but damn, don't try to make us out as fools! We know this ain't from MPLS but they have it "blend" and "segue" into Here On Earth like it's all continuous! Hmmmph...

And what's up with NOT having Sheila's performance of Glamorous Life?? How can they not have her encore??? I guess not having it is better than adding one from 1985 and pretending it was that night, like what happened with the first two tracks of disc 2! I haven't listened to the rest of it (save for that powerful ass version of JIR from night 1), but is there anything else that's fucked up about this set? The sound is pretty good, though not better than NY's ONA set! I can hear too many people talking sometimes, though that can be expected and forgiven considering this isn't the typical concert setting. People are everywhere talking to each other at any given time! Plus, I'm surprised anyone got in there and able to record anything.

So, what does everyone think of this set??

I would be very happy to receive this 12 disc set, since I am absolutely dying to hear the music!

So many things to say, Prince is really the best performer ever in the histoyy of pop/ rock
"Prince & the Band" is irresistible , the "what is cool?" speech is funny lmao (esp his imitation of Miles Davis), Connie singing "Manic Monday" is so cool...

I can't wait to recieve this. I hope it's not hard to get.

Sorry to have taken so long responding to this thread, but I was outta town! Yes, this is a boot that I'm talking about, and no, it should not be too hard to get if you know where to look! It'd be nice if there was something official from PP coming out, but we all know that it won't come true!

I'm really waiting for the complete set to come out in about a month from another source because the current one is incomplete and messed up (so far), and I haven't even gotten off of the first set yet! What's up with the echoed vocals on Pop Life? These guys should put in a little more time on the product if they're going to play with the big boys and put out something of this magnitude!!

I forgot to mention that Empty Room and the Shake!/Automatic performance are TOPS, also!!! Damn, this shit was funky, along with All The Critics Love U In New York!!! What a great fuckin' week, and I am glad I was a part of it!

I absolutly LOVE this set. I digitized the whole thing and have it on my ipod. The acoustic night and the electric night are both sooo great!! All of it is real nice to listen to. No complaints at all. I think the quality is fine, not soundboard but very good for audience.
