If you could get a once in a lifetime chance to interview Prince, what questions would ask him, how would you conduct the interview?

I would ask him about the artistic process. I would comment about his work. Not Purple Rain stuff either. But the music the general public knows nothing about. I"m talking Glasscutter, Ana Stesia, Cinnamon Girl, Dionne...I would probably end the interview by thanking him for getting me through a horrible childhood and enriching my life with his wonderful gift

-how he came up with the song "God"

-Where to buy The Sign jewelry (been looking for a place to buy that)

-what his thoughts are on new artists such as Cee-Lo, Esthero, Björk, Andre 3000 etc even though some of these have been here for over 10 years, they haven't been as popular as they are now.

-who we would want to tour with (new and old artists)

-if he's coming to Norway again, and how soon. I haven't seen Prince live once. He's only been in Norway twice I think.

etc...

so this would be rather personal and egoistic, and not very interesting for the general public

what does he view his role in eternity as?

I'd ask him if he had any good memories of his childhood, if so, what were they, since all you hear about is the bad.

I would ask him about his creative process going into the Parade and Rainbow Children album.

I would conduct the interview based on how Playboy did their interview with John Lennon. They ran thru a huge list of his songs (solo and Beatles) and got his impression of them, including the origin, creation and recording. The Lennon interview in Playboy is probably his most comprehensive interview he ever conducted.

To me, Prince has always spoken thru his music, and I'd love to know why/how he recorded certain songs. If he wanted to include parts of his personal life in the interview, that would be frosting. The cake would be understanding him as an artist.
