Not sure why I would run such a negative topic, but after reading the accolades for Emancipation, disc 2, it was on my mind. I love disc 2 , the Holy River esp, but also Soul Sanctuary, Let's Have a Baby, and JTJ. But if there was just 1 disc from P's career that I would consider disposable, it would be Disc 1. Bland music for the most part. Though Betcha By Golly Wow, White Mansion, and Courtin' Time are not bad, I would pick For You, Batman, or Musicology, or the instrumentals over Disc 1. Wish I had the disc in front of me, not sure if it Betcha is 1 or 3, like the covers in this set. Can't Make U Love Me is nice as well off Disc 1.

White Mansion, Emancipation and In This Bed I Scream are the best songs on the cd in my own opinion.

Disc 1 is good and all, but I always though that it was the pop-themed disc out of the three of them. His cover of Betcha by Golly Wow is gracious...

Oh and One Of Us-How could I forget about that

Disc 1 is superb!

that's the best disc of emancipation right there

I liked all three about the same, but I always wondered why he used his childs heartbeat in Sex in the Summer it just seemed like an odd pick for that song.
I just listened to Friend lover sister mother wife about 10 X's so I'm feeling that right now. back in the day Human body was my workout song on the treadmill.

...I dig all 3 discs but imo disc 2 is the best of the lot....
