What does evryone think of sinead o'conners acusations against Prince? I was just looking at the gallery at housequake and came acrosse the article again.
It's pretty shocking and gives you a sick feeling in your stomach. Prince not only threatened to beat the shit out of her and even started laughing at her crying! I believe it's 100% true; she is still upset by it as well(recent concert shouting back at fan'fuck that midget'). | |

Yeah,I remember this story.Apparently,Sinead went to visit Prince at his home in late 1990 and the two of them got into a heated argument."He continually said that he was gonna beat the shit out of me",O'Connor said."He was laughing at the fact that I was crying,saying that my big mouth got me in trouble again".Prince even sent his limo driver away,leaving O'Connor with no way to get back to the airport."His problem is that I did a song of his ("Nothing Compares 2 U") without him being involved",she says."He's jealous.And he told me that he wishes I had never done his song.I think that,frankly,that song saved his fucking ass.He was in serious financial trouble until that song happened".
 this is a crazy story,but Prince denied it...
"That never happened.I have no idea what she's talking about"  could this have just been a silly publicity stunt? He thanks her in the liner notes to the 'Diamonds And Pearls' CD,and this was months after their huge argument/fight | |

Who knows. Both of these people are artistic geniuses in my book. But sadly they are both a few fries short of a happy meal.

well,as we all know,Sinead is a crazy woman (no offense to those of you who like her),and remember back in these days,she was feuding with everybody.I think it was Frank Sinatra who said that "she deserves a good kick in the ass" after she tore up a picture of the Pope on national television.At one point,MC Hammer even offered to buy her a plane ticket to another country 
and if Prince really did treat her like this,why didn't she simply call the police? The whole story is outrageous and I don't know who to believe. | |

So Prince is short. I know plenty of short men that try to act like they're bad-asses. Anyway, I can almost believe both of them. Not that I actually know Prince, but somehow I can see him acting like a jerk as she described. But on the other hand, why would he be mad at her to begin with? Wouldn't she have had to get permission to record his song? | |

My daddy is short,5'6 and he used 2 b a bas assed mofo back in the day.Me and my brethren never knew till we were older and he used 2 tell us stories about his wild youth.Now he is older and wiser and still is the coolest motherfucker u will ever meet.As 4 the thread topic I doubt very much Miss O'Connor would b standing crying after Prince would say nething like that.I mean come on man..... u know u want 2...so do it

I think the story was actually reversed. I think that crazy (then) skinhead threatend to beat P' ass if he didn't give her NC2U. He started crying and she laughed at him. Very sad day for the Nelson family. | |

Of course, it's best not to believe any of these stories since no one here, was there. If it is true, why did she stand there crying? or why did she give him the satisfaction of laughing? Anyway, did she not see Purple Rain? He left Apollonia in that deserted underpass...she had to walk home. If you're meeting Prince, take your own car. In the very least, walk to the damn airport, but don't stand there crying. If there's anyone left crying like a woman, it should have been him. Not that I believe any of this happened. As far as I know, no. No, you don't need permission. Any song can be re-recorded as long as it's not changed and as long as the usage fee is paid to the owner. "If you wanted to buy a Sam Cooke album, where would you go?" | |
