ive read so much about this unreleased song. Its about his break-up with Wendys sister. Also read that prince did a recording of it , but then deleted it and re-recorded it. But many collectors denied he re-recorded. But i read that he did in the "DMSR" book by per nielson. Also heard that it was in circulation. For those of who have it, how good is it?

Who told that "wally" story in "Possessed?" Susan Rogers? I forget, aaanyway. She said he recorded it and then after getting her opinion about how great it was, told her to erase the shit.

That "he erased the greatest song ever written" BS is on some ole' Tenacious D type shit.

Funny, the only reason we know a song called Wally exists/existed is because Susan Rogers said so. Yet when she says it was deleted and re-recorded, people don't believe her! You might as well say she was making everything up including the notion of a song called Wally!

She said it was the most emotional song she'd heard Prince do, and again, that's the only reason it has become so famous and sought after. It's only her opinion, if the rest of us heard it we may think different; things usually never live upto the hype.

I've heard it isn't circulating. Simply because it isn't circulating doesn't mean it doesn't exist - there are plenty of tracks Prince has known to record in various recording sessions that are not circulating.

It's not in circulation, so no-one (outside Prince's circle) has heard it.
