My 5 year old son calls this the "bedtime" song. His dad used to hum the melody to him as he was rocking him to sleep. Also we'd play the song on long car rides when my son was a baby and it would help him to drift off to sleep. This song always reminds me of a minuette (sp?) from way back when and I can picture people dressed in old fashioned clothing wearing masks dancing like they use to dance 200 to 300 years ago. I absolutely love this song. | |
