i was wondering what is YOUR favourite redition of the track 'purple rain'. Personally i would have to say that the version found on the bootleg 'miles to nowhere' is my favourite by far. the way in which he inccorporates it into the song 'auld lang syne' is a work of sheer genius. the passion in his guitar playing promotes both screams of loss and sadness but also rides high on the fact that a new year has dawned, hope exists, there is love in my song. His playing is truly inspired, he is euphoric at this point - "i gotta do one!". APossibly one the greatest musical moments in the musical work of a both gifted and inspired individual. long may u reign.
