You're welcome, Shorty.
I hope he does do a 2 month gig, that would rock! I wouldn't want him there permanently, but could deal with a limited engagement. Well...as long as we, the non-VIPs, could still get good seats, which hopefully he'd take care of with the management. For him to be an hour's flight away for 2 months?!?!

Vegas has some great night spots. Pure is one of them. It is owned in part by Celine Dion, Shaquille O'Neal, Andre Agassi and Steffi Graf. [Edited 9/21/06 10:16am]

i would think that the seats would be open to all Usually, the theaters located in hotels/casinos hold some of the best seats for their high-roller guests, especially for a 'standing' show. If it's a nightclub venue, they'll still allow space for VIPs. Unless Prince pays for the place as a private party, he can't dictate admission. He can negotiate things, but most hotels wouldn't want to take a chance of losing a $$$$$ guest because they couldn't get into a show.

hearing it on the radio is about as valid as this guy Norm who says he will be playing here soon.....it's all just wishful thinking at this point because he is hanging out here during his free-time and he started the rumour earlier this year

Well, there's a little more meat to it: http://www.reviewjournal....60733.html "On Harrah's entertainment side, don't be surprised to see headliner deals announced soon, with Prince and Chris Tucker." Relevant text from longer column which links to the above quote: http://vegasblog.latimes....becom.html "...I hope I am wrong, because I am really excited about one tidbit for this rumored project of Harrah's: Norm also reports on the possibility that Prince could be the headliner for it. Prince has a long history in Vegas, of course. He recorded a live DVD at the Aladdin in 2003 and for years has played many concerts here including a series of celebrated after-concerts at Studio 54 in MGM. But to the best of my knowledge, Prince has never had a connection to a Harrah's property. But if you are going to have a mysterious, huge and exciting project sneaking up on Las Vegas, a rumor of the enigmatic, mercurial and extravagant performer Prince (a.k.a. Prince, Symbolina, Artist Formerly Known as Prince and then Prince again) getting a showroom feels both metaphorically and literally perfect." Plus, he's been seen checking out the other shows with some bigwigs.
