I can't believe that any fan would want to read the 1st????? Do you really want Prince to retire and do charity work? Prince would probably be miserable not making music and performing. If Prince got kicked out of the JW organization it would probably be a blessing, JW isnot the only religion. Prince could still worship, give to charity and still perform.

There are alot of people who claim to hate religion, choose to be spiritual or non-whatsoever, who also act like complete assholes. It goes both ways. I know a lot of people who have been both hurt and helped by religion. I choose to pass judgements on an individual basis and not be so quit to write people off based on what they believe in or don't. I still say I don't mind that people follow what they choose 2...I just said that I don't need a religion and think they're tricy mind controllers...and it's not a judgment it's my view based on human history and obviously on my own experiences with it...but the statment "we all need a religion"...NO!! I don't! There ain't nobody between me and God!

The first one As sad as I would be that it would be his last album...I would be happy for him Exactly religion, spirituality and god are completely different things. i found that after i left religion, i found more of the two latter. religions does nothing but give you rules and guilt (in my opinion) i'd rather read the latter, not ony because of my opinion on organized religion, but also because i have an aunt who WAS a jehovah's witness and i know what that church is like. Hmmmm,
If I have to pick one I would have to say the first headline. I would like Prince to have a happy fulfilling home life. Ideally I would rather have a blend of both headlines: Prince has a family, is content with his religious/spiritual life, keeps writing and releasing music, and tours sometimes during the non-school season. Why does it have to be one extreme or the other? Why cannot Prince have both at once? Plus since Prince has dropped the cursing from his lyrics I think the songs have gotten better. And as an artist it creates a challenge for him on what to say and how best to say it. There are a few songs I would not mind if he went back and took the curses out, or re-recorded them without the MFs because the curses seem unnecessary or dilute the message of the song, etc. Chris

Wow. I thought I was purty dead on it when I added my reply(s). And secondly sitruk7, after some thought (and a few dranks), I feel that if you didn't want this thread to take the way of a religious debate, you prolly shouldn't have asked the question you did. We're still cool though.

Well this thread is a train wreck! Wow! I make one statement and people loose their freakin' minds If people had bothered to actually read all of my post they would understand that I just want Prince to be happy and yes regardless of what others think-spirituality is a great thing

or Rock star Prince has been kicked out of the Jehovah's Witness community after giving them a preview of what's said to be his most raunchy album to date. Before someone reads more into this than what there is,no this is not an attack on JW's! He more or less tried the 1st. Didn't work out.
