I think Lovesexy went to number 1 in the UK..? The cover didn't put off buyers here. It sure didn't,it was his best selling album,next 2 PR,at the time.I think D&P was the only one that sold more than Lovesexy. But sometimes,even In Europe,some kids made jokes about the cover;especially those who loved Guns&Roses,Bon Jovi & Bryan Adams... Love4oneanother | |

I don't know about photoshop, but they had airbrushing and this pic is covered in it. If the idea was for Prince to be presenting himself in a "pure" way to God, wouldn't it have made more sense to show him sans makeup, and without his flaws coloured out? I was never embarassed by the cover, I never got the controversy of it.

I remember being in a music store about 10 years ago, and I took this cd up to the counter. The guy behind the counter laughed at me, and then showed it to two of his co-workers who all laughed too. I felt really stupid for buying this album.
