I once read an idea for a sequel which invovled D'Angelo as P and Vanity's love child. And D comes back and is like "Pops!" but then they of course don't like each other...but D wants to do music, but P is in a rut and in need of inspiration. And like...I don't really remember the rest but it involves D and Morris' daughter hooking up and Vanity and Apples havin' it out and folks getting married and shit in the end. Basically it woulda make a kick-ass soap-opera.

No Malbena. It's way too late for that now. If there were to be a sequel to Purple Rain, It should've been made about 20 years ago. If they make Purple Rain 2 now. They might as well make "Krush Groove 2" "Breakin 06". draws in "The Kid" years later reflecting on the meaning of it all then... News: Prince pulls his head out his ass in the last moment.
