Well he's done a lot and I'm still here.
If he was convicted of child molestation and it was true, I'd be gone. But that's just off the top of my head. I'm firmly planted in denial

I still listen to MJ, no matter what I've heard about him. It doesn't make the music any worse, and I don't know what to believe. The media often do alot to make celebrities look bad. So I rather just listen to the music and let their personal life be their personal life.

Prince can do NO wrong in my eyes.I'm COMPLETELY dedicated 2 him,and when I hear unfavorable things about him,I always just brush it off as a rumor.

i left when i didn't like his music anymore, but then i came back and the time away made me appreciate his music more now. in a way i'm kind of happy but sad about my time away, especially when i read about all the concerts, after parties, celebrations, i feel i miss alot.
but to answer your question, as long as he keeps making music however he wants to is fine with me.

I think Prince has occasionally been a complete hypocritical asshole, so he can definitely do wrong in my eyes. Some of his albums have also been total shit. But, he's also a genius who wrote some of the best music ever. The world is a comedy for those who think and a tragedy for those who feel.

Well, I do accept that sometimes Prince will do things I don't personally agree with or completely adore, but it would take a lot to change how I feel about him. Even if he was convicted of molestation, I would hang around. It wouldn't make his music suck! I do try to keep the private life of an artist separate from the work they produce, but there does come a point where I cannot separate the two. Child molestation is one of those points. On a human level, I cannot support anyone who molests a child. I'm firmly planted in denial

Can I imagine being more dedicated to this artist than I have been?
Well. Let's see. First of all, he originally gains attention by writing sexually provocative music (especially for its time period), and presents himself as an isolated and confused gender-bending and eccentric. Then his first HUGE hit, the movie "Purple Rain" and its soundtrack makes him about as big of a star as anyone is ever likely to become. He could have milked that cow until the end of his days, and never would have had to worry about the things that you and I worry about again. Y'know, stuff like jobs, security and money. Ever. Again. So, he puts out "Around the World in a Day", a complete departure from "Purple Rain". The world scratches its head. Y'see, I'm of the mind that the world doesn't like to think very much. And following "Purple Rain" with such an odd and experimental risk? Well, that tends to make one think. For the next couple of decades, Prince continues to deliver. Sometimes hits. Sometimes not. Quite honestly, after his musical dominance in late 80's and early 90's, I found myself becoming the only one on the block that still counted the days until his next musical release, devoured every album, and thought he was about the most exciting and talented entertainer of our times. I began to keep my thoughts to myself regarding Prince, but always kept an eye opened in his general direction. And he continued to work, through the ups and downs, always steady, always up to something, and always original. Prince is a conundrum. He wears ruffles and silk, but manages to be surrounded by a beautiful coterie of femme fatales wherever he goes. He sells us all on one idea, then extolls the virtue of its alternative. He builds up his success, then tears it all down. He's been the best the world has ever seen, then in a heartbeat, disappears. A ghost. But through it all, and he's been in some zingers, hes never, ever given up. How dedicated am I 2 Prince? I guess he's one of my heroes. He helps me understand how important it is to be dedicated to oneself, and in doing so, has earned this fan's infinite loyalty. Loveandpeace. "Plaid shorts are completely over."

Oh, he can do plenty wrong but he can also do plenty good. Although, I will admit, from 1980-1984, you would have thought I was a male Zelaira. Andy is a four letter word.

I've been a Prince fan for a very long time. Due to things happening for a period in my life I missed out on a lot musically (not just Prince). When I came back I was sad over what I had missed. I'd say I am very dedicated to P...I love the artist in him...I love him for his differences! I don't think there is anything that would completely turn me off....well...maybe if he switched to a complete diet of Country/Western!...even then that could prove to be interesting/amusing at least! He gets it! That's why the ladies love him...

One way to not support an artist you hate but love the music from is to download the music and throw dart arrows at pictures of that artist, lol.

No, Prince can't do any wrong in my eyes. Who's to say what's right or wrong? If it's what he wants to do and it works for him then it right for him, OK?

I wouldn't throw myself in front of a bullet, car, train, stampeding group of white miniature ponies, Sinead O'Conner, Mani, Mayte or Warner Brothers for him but, he's awright.

Well, I'll put it this way....I suffered through seven years of unpronouncable names, lawsuits against fans, faulty websites, vague but strict PP mods, and messages posted on websites that you need a CIA agent to decode...if I can survive all that, then hell, I'd might as well stay dedicated.

I'll support Prince through any musical decisions he makes, any adult relationships, and any business decisions. What he does in his own life isn't my business.
But, I think I'd jump ship if he ever even approached MJ's child antics.

28 years and counting!! I think it's safe to say that I'm in it for the long haul.
Hell, Prince would literally have to make Michael Jackson, R Kelly, Whitney Houston, OJ Simpson, and Suge Knight, ALL look like Saints by comparison before I'd even begin to question my dedication to his fine ass. Oh yes, it is that serious!
