I agree having a conscience is a good thing...but I disagree that laws make people have one...everyone has one, it's your personal levels of morals and ethics that determined it. NOT LAWS. I was thinking that just this week actually, about Prince's inspiration 4 his music. I'm assuming the inspiration comes from life in general (pls dont start ur astro physics babble on this sacred..  ).
If that's the case, 2 a certain degree, and certainly after becoming famous, the life he leads is somewhat sheltered/guarded.. Would U say this is somewhat limiting in his xperience and consequently his output?  | |

Would U say this is somewhat limiting in his xperience and consequently his output? absolutely. true music got nuthin to do with being guarded, and a true musician lives their every day life like a song. i dont think he'd prove he is a boring old fart at all, cuz he isnt a boring old fart. he's beautiful, if somewhat up himself, but that makes it interesting, and gives me something to bitch about lol.. cuz i can, and cuz i see straight through it, which makes it cute, but nonetheless dangerous. but hey, im up myslef totally, and i've learned to be, cuz these days, people need slappin, need showin what not to be, so then u switch it up, and just when they think u lost it, u get all wise on their asses lol but Prince's wisdoms r kinda cliched, poetic, but they tie themselves in knots, and lead people to silence, which is good sometimes, but then again they can equally as much create noise, which isnt so cool. its about timing. if ur gunna b an ass, at least get the timing right, cuz if u do, it feels right. if u dont, u one damn fool, and noise is what u get in return. fame shmame, sure it has its side-effects, but i dont believe for a second they should make him from pander to it. its an illusion after-all... i mean whats more important... a sunrise or a public image? and dont b thinkin his public image is a sunrise cuz it aint. its a nightclub. x in regards to his inspiration for music, obviously he doesnt look at the world the way most folks do, and im sure his fame has affected that, and is a blessing in that regard..it makes a person very insular, and u need to be, to write great songs... keeps his perspective unique...but when he believes his own hype, and the hype of others, thats when he becomes a class A jerk missing the point.... ultimately, no one really cares what he looks like, what he wears, if he swears, even what he says... the music is where its at, and he's sharing that honest part of himself with everyone...beautiful thing. but hey, if ur gunna share ur honesty thru music, why not do it in every day life as well, when the record button ISNT on, and people just wanna chat. i aint intrsted in 'oh but he's really shy' crap. crap. he's insecure. and thats Ok. rnt we all to some degree. aint like he got the exclusive rights to insecurity. he just does it really well is all lol and thats ok too, until it turns into vengeance and spite, a complete contradiction of the Love he preaches. Blessing or a curse? A true, focussed individual doesn't need 2 rely on 'fame' 2 b insular as u put it..
