I just rented GRAFFITI BRIDGE, and I'm about to watch it for the first ever time!

I'm very excited - I loved PURPLE RAIN and UNDER THE CHERRY MOON.

I know GB gets a bad rep, but so does PR and UTCM to some extent, and I loved those.

Must admit though, the trailer I've seen for GB does look a *LOT* cheaper production values than PR or UTCM. More like a typical Paisley Park produced video extended.

I got it out last year and watched it once even though I had it out for about 5 months....I was too afraid to watch it again!

I know I am in the minority here but I love GB. Actually just watched it this past weekend AGAIN.

The only good thing about that movie was Prince's hairdo.

Ill never understand why a fan cant find SOMETHING they like about this movie.

Seriously, the movie is simply not well done. The sets are cheap and it shows, the screenplay and dialogue is just embarassing, and the storyline is ludicrous, even as a "musical." I'm sorry, but the album would have been better served without an accompanying film, or at least this particular film, for sure.

Watching Graffiti Bridge is like watching a grade school play...only your own kids aren't even in it.

Yeah, there was backlash against UTCM because it was nothing like Purple Rain and it was pretty weird at times. But it really wasn't all that bad.

Time judges these movies, and UTCM looks better, Purple Rain (other than the music) looks worse (IMO), but Graffiti Bridge looks exactly the same.
