Electric Intercourse Was wondering ...
I have two versions of this song which Ive not listened to in a while . Got kinda bored last night and started going thru various CD's catching up on stuff I had the urge to listen to anyway my point is... On one version of Electric Intercourse about mid way thru Prince hollers " Wake Up Wendy " it always made me laugh . On the other version of the track I have this doesnt happen. Both are live while Prince was performing at First Avenue in 1983 4 the famous benefit gig. 1 is the actual show and the other is the rehearsal, U work it out. eye am assuming your referring 2 the versions on the "PURPLE RUSH" 6cd bootleg set...those r rehersal versions...there is also the only performed version from the famous "Avenue" show in 83...plus the rehersal 4 this show which is also documented in video...one of the best, if not the best Prince live performance ever!!
the original Jewel Box outtakes also has a version of this song, so it it circulating on a few different releases...not many...it has however only been performed in front of a live audience once...see above...one of my all time fav Prince songs, as u can c by user name...wish eye knew why he has gone almost 20 years without performing it again...i've asked that ? on this site a few times, but no one seems 2 have the answer hope this helps in someway  | |
