I need a clear definition of what constitutes 'meet'? 
Is it closer to option #1: Prince bodyguard to Prince: This is Joni. Me: Hey, what's up?. (Tries to shake Prince's hand but is rebuffed so curtseys instead.) Prince stares at me silently as I am escorted away by bodyguard OR option #2: I am introduced to him and actually get to hang out and have a conversation that does not discuss religion or owning one's masters? If it's #1 I wouldn't do a damn thing...but if it was option number two I'd take him to any art museum and give him a tour; not that crazy, but I'm convinced he would like the art I would take him to see. (I was at the Guggenheim today looking at the Kandinsky's and thinking about the similarities b/t Kandinsky's paintings and Prince songs and that there's probably a critical essay or research paper in that topic somewhere..  )The check. Travel to a concert or to PP.Because that's what I did and I've met him.
I would never do anything sexual or ilegal or give up a lot of money or anything stupid, or drive myself crazy trying to meet him.I talked to him more than once at PP, I've talked to him when I traveled to concerts. Met him by chance and all I did was pray about it. If you drive yourself crazy with it, trying to go all over trying to find him or doing stupid things that will only make you miserable. | |
