I hope I am wrong, because I am really excited about one tidbit for this rumored project of Harrah's: Norm also reports on the possibility that Prince could be the headliner for it. Prince has a long history in Vegas, of course. He recorded a live DVD at the Aladdin in 2003 and over the years has played many concerts here including a series of celebrated after concerts at Studio 54 in MGM. But to the best of my knowledge Prince has never had a connection to a Harrah's property. But if you are going to have a mysterious huge and exciting project sneaking up on Las Vegas, a rumor of the enigmatic, mercurial and extravagant performer Prince (Prince, Symbolina, Artist Formerly Known as Prince and then Prince again) getting a showroom feels both metaphorically and literally perfect.

Not a rip on txladycat, but there have been several "news" items that have made their way here, when in reality these are blog items that grab snippets of the real story and get embellished upon.

This article quotes a guy Norm from Review Journal.com and all he said was "On Harrah's entertainment side, don't be surprised to see headliner deals announced soon, with Prince and Chris Tucker."

These rumors on blogs suck. I have had 2 give in and posted this one on the bump Squad since the L.A. Times posted it.

I knew this was going 2 happen after the Music Club closed, I just thought it would happen sooner.

Now, it is either we don't post the rumors or we r seen as out of the loop.

People r putting a lot of faith in2 these stories.

I wouldn't just yet. I know we r all trying 2 keep everyone informed is all.

i agree, rumors are hard to control when there is no source for validity. i wasn't posting it as if it were news....reading it in the context it was written basically says that it is currently a rumor, but that the writer hopes it to be validated.

It might happen, but I can't see it lasting very long!

From a non-American, what is 'Harrah' and this project the blog mentions?

Would something like this happen and STILL there would be no website up and walking
simultaneously ?

I doubt Prince would move to Vegas and do a showroom over there. It would mean playing the hits every night to people that aren't really his fans.

this is funny.....last year we heard this lie....and now it has become a rumor? go figure
