VIRUS ALERT: People please clean your MACHINES!!! Hello everyone,
It has come to my attention and other group leaders in the NPN that someone in the Prince fan community has a virus on their machine that is going through their address book and sending notices out saying they are either from the Clique or other SIMILAR affiliated email addresses that you might know. Personally I have received about 20 emails in the last week. Luckily my machine is scanned and updated nightly and I am behind a firewall at home and at work...but this virus is DANGEROUS...so folks please...if you haven't already... CLEAN YOUR MACHINES!!! And be leery of emails that have strange subject lines, even from folks you know. SOME TIPS: It seems that how this virus attempts to deceive is it uses the username part of an email address as the person's name. for example if you received an email that said it was from ljefferson and just ljefferson (from ljefferson@zeinabau.com) that is a VIRUS email. Or one that read webmaster and just webmaster for (webmaster@newpowerclique.com) or just webmaster@newpowerclique.com or ljefferson@zeinabau.com THOSE are VIRUS EMAILS!! As you all know I am very longwinded so ...of course how I name my emails are the same. I have even received virus emails saying they are from the NPGMC!!! So if you receive any email ...from anyone that you are not sure of the subject name or if it has an attachment even from me or someone else you know that normally does not send attachments...DELETE IT. Here are some virus emails subject lines: A Happy Assumption or A Good Sense Humour or something to that sort. Some also come through as blanks with NO subjectline. So folks just be careful. I was informed that its a fault with SMPT servers (the thing that sends your mail) that allows people to send mail from it sometimes. Chat with your host as there are ways of preventing it  | |

Anytime love. And Cloud9mission read the message again its not coming from the Clique presay. You can't stop anyone from sending out an email that has had the REPLY to changed. Sounds like the Klez virus.
This was my first virus I ever go on my PC. Happened about three months ago. Sucked. Had to re-format the whole thing. All Rights Reserved. |

Ummm... hon...actually I am not attempting to promote the site. Many people have emailed me individually thinking that they have received email from the Clique since I send out mass email blasts to the community. I got the Klez worm virus too. It was tripy, sending me emails from people I knew. I even got an email sent back to me that I "sent" and it was scanned and returned.
Crazy. I just had to reinstall windows, after I scaned my hard drive a million times!!! A good virus program to use is AVG by grisoft. It's free, go to www.grisoft.com. It cleaned my computer right up! Peace, VinaBlue [This message was edited Tue Aug 13 13:25:48 PDT 2002 by VinaBlue] | |

I also recommend reviewing your sent folder...to see if there are any suspicious emails that you know you have not sent out there. That is also a clue.
