Show some luv 4 "Forever in my Life"

I am talking about the SOTT live concert movie version of this song, not the standard LP version.

Listening to it today - it blows the original version away.

Good thing I've got a DVD ripper.

That performance,in my opinion, may quite possibly be Prince's greatest single performance ever!

It was one of song of a mixed tape made up for my wedding.
News: Prince pulls his head out his ass in the last moment.
Bad News: Prince wasted too much quality time doing so.

It is the song I played to the woman who would become my wife upon meeting her.

I love that song. Especially the part with the acoustic guitar at the end.
It is a great song to sing along to.

One of most creative parts of this cut is how the background vocals come before the lead.

(Every man's road)... there come's road in every man's journey....(don't be afraid)...a road that he's afraid to walk on his own...(I'm at that road)... and I'm here to tell you (I'd rather walk with U than walk it alone)that I'm at that road...and I'd rather walk it with U than walk it alone.....

Nice.

great performance but i gotta be in the mood to sit down listen to it, otherwise it's a bit too long and laborious.

My husband and I met in 1987, the year SOTT came out. So we decided that "Forever in my Life" was the perfect song as "Our Song" for our wedding! I just love it!!
