Glad to see you're back - I've really enjoyed listening to the podcasts, but haven't written to tell you that yet - thanks for putting in the effort! You've been reminding me how great some of Prince's old-school albums are (with so much material out there, I don't listen to them as much as I could).

Michael Dean, you're alive! I thought you married Connie and she ended up shooting you. I thought you had died! I still remember your molove website. You posted a great review of Jesse Johnson's album back in the Chaos & Disorder days. I've been trying to track down the studio version of Cry Like the Skies for a long time, and I can't find it anywhere, just a lame live version. Send me the mp3 so I can put it on my ipod!

You're always stealing my ideas, Michael. I wanted to do a Prince podcast, but from what I hear of yours (the Dirty Mind one) there's really no point. It's good. I'll have to go with my alternate podcast... a Woody Allen podcast. When are you going to talk about the Crystal Ball fiasco? smile

Glad you guys posted this.

I listened to all of your 'casts and I enjoyed them very much. It's like having the kind of conversations that I'd love to have with my friends if they had more than just a casual interest in going on about such things.

I have one request: When you discuss a track on an album you're reviewing it would be great to hear the song underneath your commentary. Most of the time you guys play a few bars and then abruptly cut it off. Sometimes you don't play it at all. Is there are reason (copyright or somesuch) that keeps you from playing the music.

In any case.. I am so ready to hear your next 'cast. I really love 'em!

biggrin

Altavista,
I'm glad you like the podcast. smile To answer your question about playing the songs; the reason I don't play the full songs is for fear of the ole Prince threat of lawsuit. smile We talk about this on the very 1st podcast.

Thanks again for the kind words. The next podcast is coming next week.
