What's going on? is there a "follow-up" album being worked on? is the tour being worked out? who, what and when about the tour? Why is Tamar suddenly gone? something....anyone? PLEASE!

I know what you mean, I hate these "dry spells".

Now you guys know we're probably not going to hear anything anytime soon so may as well find a good movie, hobbie, maybe take a nice, relaxing vacation, anythig to keep busy during the "dry" season.

If you could ask Prince what he was doing and he was to respond, he'd tell you he was working on something Big! Isn't that always the way. And muchly, he is trying to get over the wall. He's trying to write a new album. Though, the songs he's working on for the most part this moment in time mostlikely will not make it onto the next CD. He writes something he gets very excited about and that is sharp cord to the reality of Prince in the world, but then fear over takes him. He recants. He trys pushing out older more "safe" songs with less meaning. That ends up like Elvis's Final Masterpiece, the one he left floating in the bowl.

The wall isn't external, it's internal. He's knowing what needs be done, but he's over thinking it. He questions the faith it takes to overcome, that which he use to do so well.

He's more stable these days. He's at peace with the devorce and in the relationship nature of the world.

He is as he put it, in a time of reflection, but that's not exactly the truth. As to be in the time of reflection that would require all past tense productions to be brought upto present tense meanings, to accomplish this he's in need of non-distraction. Though he's distracted by an echo of the past and a dream of futuric beauty.

Basicly, Prince is still trying to finish a rubic's cube he started many many years ago.

right! so long story short, Prince is still struggling with the same stuff he's been struggling with for a while, but is doing better. he isn't confident in his output, and is afraid of what people will think. In order for him to truly reflect upon his past he needs some time to himself but doesn't really want to reflect too much on the past because it doesn't mesh with his vision of the future.
Basically Prince is still alive. Phew! thanx for that mick, you're a gem.
