yep. it's a decent album. Most of it anyway.

I think I Will and I Rock, Therefore I am are stinkers but I like to pop in the album regularly.

One of his best maybe.
News: Prince pulls his head out his ass in the last moment.
Bad News: Prince wasted too much quality time doing so.

Do you think his fargo like cop on Zanalee is intentional?

I've no clue as to what that means.

It's possible.

'Zannalee' was originally recorded in May 1993 before its release on 'Chaos and Disorder' in July 1996. However, the cop voice was seemingly added at a later stage, and Fargo premiered in March 1996, so Prince could have been influenced.

That said, the accent of a Minnesotan cop investigating a reported disturbance outside Prince's house could simply be an unintentional coincidence.

I find that some of my favorite Prince songs seem to have been written when he was pissed at someone/something.

Chaos and Disorder is a whole ALBUM like that!

When it came out I thought "finally Prince releases the 'Rock' album I have been wanting for so long!" However, as the album was clearly a contractual obligation Prince didn't put his 100% effort into it. Imagine just how good the album would have been if he had included a few other tracks he had recently recorded and were sitting in the vault:

Chaos And Disorder
I Like It There
Dinner With Delores
The Same December
Calhoun Square
Zannalee
I Rock Therefore I Am
In2 The Light
I Will
The Ride
Dig U Better Dead
Empty Room
Had U.

IMHO you could lose the rapper on IRTIA and replace with a kick ass guitar solo (to show that P rocks literally) and also drop Right The Wrong and use it as a b-side.
'I loved him then, I love him now and will love him eternally. He's with our son now.' Mayte 21st April 2016 = the saddest quote I have ever read! RIP Prince and thanks for everything.

that would've been a kick ass album, no doubt! I do like Right the Wrong, though. I would actually dump in2 the light...that song's too rock-musical for me.

mmmm.... Prince does have that accent (not quite as heavy) when he's just being normal.... it's the accent for those parts!
