I ran a thread about this song in regarding the fact that P wrote this song for The Time's second album. He didn't consider it for himself untill he heard The Time rehearsing it and only then, did he decide to keep it for himself. I'm glad that he did, cuz it's definately one of my fave songs from him. The industry was so impressed by this song that it was nominated for a Grammy although it wasn't released as a single. P's screams towards the end of this song is perfection. His use of double tracking his vocals on his lower range and the "yeah, yeah" after the screams are STRAIGHT gospel. One of his best songs ever. You simply could not fuck with P during this period. He was so "on" and in such a zone. THIS is the Prince that I favor. The crazy lookin', poodle hair wearin', insane in the eyes, purple trench coat flippin', kick u in the neck, guitar killin' Prince. The early 80's belonged to Prince. There was simply no one like him. SynthiaRose said "I'm in love with blackguitaristz. Especially when he talks about Hendrix."
nammie "What BGZ says I believe. I have the biggest crush on him." http://ccoshea19.googlepa...ssanctuary http://ccoshea19.googlepages.com

My sister and I were listening to this in the car a couple of weeks ago and just stopped mid conversation as we were mesmerized by it. We both commented that we had forgotten just how sensual and sexy a song it was.
I also remember listening to it on my iPod on a flight and just being lost in it. Fantastic song. So glad he kept it for himself. [Edited 9/7/06 13:12pm] perfection is a fallacy of the imagination...

for me the song keeps popping up in my head whenever i'm on a plane, just before take-off. i always have to keep from cracking up out loud. in the event there is over-excitement, your seat cushion may be used as a floatation device...
