Before I started posting on the org, I actualy visited it at least once a week to read the news reports here.

L4OA/npgmc didn't exactly report much news. I wanted to know about the lawsuits he was threatening and executing against some of my favorite fansites, and the org was a great place to get that info. Regular news outlets only gave small blurbs about Prince, and it was hard to find those on my own. The org served a great purpose in that respect.

I've learned the following since I became an orger:

1) Don't believe anything Prince says.
a) he claimed music should be free, but sued fansites with unreleased song files
b) he claimed that people were his "fams" but forced folks to stand out
in the cold for hours sometimes before entering paisley park for one of
their "parties"
The list goes on and on. This doesn't mean that I now dislike Prince, or
that I've stopped becoming a fan. But the glossy eyed fandom I used to
suffer from is now over. I see a more whole view of the man, albiet filtered
through the reports on the org.

Well, I've been an Org member since the PPML days and I've learned a lot about bootlegs. I don't have any other friends that are into Prince as much as me, and there's no place to buy boots in my town (that I know of, anyway). So I didn't even know there was a 12 minute version of Computer Blue until like 2 years ago!

I learned that I love Prince more than anybody at the org!

I learned that i am Sooo glad that i never met Prince! Because frankly i enjoy the false, bloated, misconstrued vision of him that i have. May reality never pass my door!!
