17 Days and Ballad of DP are unofficial DJ mixes.

I think people are also mixing up 12" with "full length" or "remix".

If we simply mean "longer than the known album or single version" then Computer Blue qualifies. The album/single version is an edit, just like "Lets go crazy", Shockadelica, She's always in my hair and "Pop Life" (9 min version).

Songs that are actually remixed to make them longer are the likes of LRC, Raspberry Beret, U Got the look and Paisley park.

Then there are songs where Prince simply made a new part II, like Kiss, Lets Work, Thieves in the Temple and Love Or Money (although he sometimes remixes a tiny portion).

If you bundle this all together as "alternative" versions, then I would say my favourite has to be "Thieves In the Temple". It takes the song to a whole new level!

Thanx 4 the clarification. As far as I'm concerned it's still a 12" to me because it wouldn't fit on a 45 single (am I telling my age?)!

Get up, come on, let's do something...
